These updates are as supplied by RealWorld Corporation.  SCAS is not responsible for the contents of any of these updates.

If you are running 8.0.0 then apply the 801 and 802 updates.  It is advisable that you get the upgrade to version 8.0.3 rather than apply just the updates as there are new features in 8.0.3 as well as updates you may need.  Applying the 803 updates without first running the install routine from the 803 CD will result in some of your programs not being compatible and will cause errors.

Note: 8.4.0 is a new release and must be installed from the 8.4 CD supplied by RealWorld.  Be sure to follow the upgrade instructions that came with the 8.4 CD as failure to do so will result in incompatible files.

Note: 8.5.0 is a new release and must be installed from the 8.5 CD supplied by RealWorld.  Be sure to follow the upgrade instructions that came with the 8.5 CD as failure to do so will result in incompatible files.

If you are running 8.0.1 read the "If you are running 8.0.0" above, it applies to you.  You would apply both the 801 and the 802 updates.

If you are running 8.0.2 read the "If you are running 8.0.0" above, it applies to you.  You would apply only the 802 updates.

If you have already installed 8.0.3 from the RealWorld CD, then apply only the 803 to-date updates.

If you have installed/upgraded 8.4.0 from the RealWorld CD, then apply only the 840 to-date updates.

If you have installed/upgraded 8.5.0 from the RealWorld CD, then apply only the 850 to-date updates.

Installation of the updates:
As with all updates, you should make sure that you have a verified, good
current backup of all your programs and data files before applying any
updates. If something goes wrong, you can then restore from your backup!

DOS/Networks.

Copy the zip files to your RealWorld 8.x top_level_directory
then unzip them using: PKUNZIP -D xx8??obj.zip
    where xx is the package id
          ?? is the version number of the RealWorld 8.x you are applying.

Unix.

Copy the zip files to your RealWorld 8.x top_level_directory
then unzip them using: unzip xx8??obx.zip
    where xx is the package id
          ?? is the version number of the RealWorld 8.x you are applying.
